JAMMU, Jan 27: Game Changers and WCC emerged winners of the ongoing CL Chrangoo Memorial Cricket Tournament by defeating WCC Red and Jammu Tawi with huge margin of 116 runs and five wickets respectively, being played at Country Cricket Ground Amb Gharota, here today.
Batting first, Game Changers scored 179 runs on the loss of eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Akash made highest 56 runs, whereas Vivrant, Ankush and Kannav contributed 49, 22 and 22 runs respectively. From bowling side, Bhanu was the wrecker-in-chief who took four wickets while Rohan clinched three wickets.
In reply, the WCC Red bundled out at 63 runs by losing all wickets in 16 overs. Basharat and Bhanu were the only players who made double digit runs. From bowling side, Vivrant took three wicket by conceding 22 runs while Ankaj , Akash and Jatinder clinched two wickets each. Vivrant was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance with bat and ball.
In another match, WCC won the match by five wickets by defeating Jammu Tawi.
Jammu Tawi scored moderate 128 runs by losing nine wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Danish and Aryan contributed 42 and 20 runs respectively. From bowling side, Zahid took three wickets, whereas Aquib and Junaid secured two wickets each and Ashiq clinched one wicket.
While chasing the target, the WCC Srinagar won the match in 17.3 overs by losing only five wickets. Suhail made highest 41 runs while Junaid and Zahid contributed 31 and 23 runs respectively to the total. From bowling side, Usman bagged two wickets while Sachin, Kartik and Gourav clinched one wicket each.
Suhail was declared as man of the match, whereas Gharu Ram and Rajesh were umpires and Tanish acted as scorer.
