GANDERBAL, Sept 13: The District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Dr Piyush Singla inaugurated Kashmir Division Level Inter-District Baseball Championship for boys being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, hosted by DYSS Ganderbal today.
The championship is being played in U-14, U-17 and U-19 boys events in which teams from all 10 districts are participating.
In the first segment of U-19 boys competition, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Bandipora and Kupwara qualified for semi finals. The Semis and the final match will be played tomorrow at the same venue.
The said Championship kick started at Madr-e-Meharbaan Sports Stadium in Ganderbal where DYSS officer and Principal College of Physical Education, Dr Hartej Singh, technical officials from the YSS and other dignitaries from different districts were also present.
