Udhampur, Oct 7: Gandhi Global Family J&K in association with United Nations (UNIC) New Delhi organises matches for special children in Udhampur and Samba as a part of Gandhi Mandela Cricket Series 2015. In Udhampur the match was held at Happy Model School ground in presence of DC Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary, Principal GDC Udhampur Prof S S Bhalwal, DSP Udhampur Mr Gaurav Sharma and GGF Vice President Padmashri S P Varma. The event was presided by Dr Vikram Gulati, CEO Happy Model School, who later introduced both teams to Chief Guest Dr Chaudhary. Congratulating the organising team and the participating teams, DC Udhampur said that Gandhi Global Family and its volunteers are doing remarkable job in reaching to  the special children of our society.
Earlier Prof S S Bhalwan said that the main objective of such tournament is to encourage special children and to bring them in main stream. Later Prof S S Bhalwan fasten Indo-UN pin on Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary. Rakesh Singh Jamwal Director Planning Udhampur and Dr Vikram Gulati also spoke on the occasion. Later, Bal Ashram XI  won the match by 8 runs against Jagrati Home XI   and the wining team player Sanjay Singh was declared man of the match for his outstanding performance. Gold medals and silver medals were presented to winning and runner up teams respectively by Rakesh Singh Jamwal.
