Gandhi Memorial College organises inter school debate

JAMMU, Dec 15: An inter school debate competition on the topic “Artificial intelligence – a threat to humanity” was organised by the Gandhi Memorial College Raipur Bantalab near here, today.
Different reputed Senior Secondary Schools participated in the competition. The programme started with the welcome address by Satish Talashi, Principal GMCEJ who highlighted the aims and objectives of the programme. Prof BL Zutshi, president HESK presided over the function. Prof Ashok Aima former Vice Chancellor, Central University, Jammu was the chief guest of the occasion.
Participants participated with great enthusiasm and confidence and were judged by Prof G L Koul, Member Education HESK and M K Bangroo former PTI Bureau Chief.
Among the participants Ms Tanish Preet Kour from BSF Sr. Secondary School Paloura stood first, Tuba Fatima from Brig Khuda Baksh Sr. Secondary School and Priya Choudhary from BSF Sr Secondary School shared second position and Bhumi Bhat from Government Mixed Hr Secondary School Purkhoo stood third.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Meenu Khazanchi, Sr Lecturer GMCEJ. The programme ended with the presentation of the vote of thanks by programme coordinator Ms Seema, Senior Lecturer GMCEJ.
The programme was also attended by Prof Virender Rawal, Virender Raina, and M K Jalali, Executive Board members.
