Gandhi Nagar will be first Model Constituency: Kavinder

JAMMU, Mar 8: Former Deputy Chief Minister & BJP senior leader, Kavinder Gupta along with Vikram Randhawa today kick-started drain work in Trikuta Nagar, in Ward 54 of Gandhi Nagar Constituency. Neeraj Puri, Bharat Sharma, Ankush Gupta, Rajat Mahajan, prominent persons of the area and officers of the JMC were present on the occasion.
In his address while kick starting the work, Kavinder Gupta said that BJP is committed to its basic principle “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” and called for the active participation of the elected corporators of each ward for the overall development of the constituency. Referring to works started today, he said the execution of works has been initiated at the cost of 7.5 lakh for the drains upgradation in Trikuta Nagar area and all the pending works which have been approved earlier will be started in phased manner and there will be no compromise with quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution of different works so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future, he added.
He said the life of the roads is also going to increase and it is not going to break down easily,. He promised to make this constituency a model one and Gandhi Nagar will be the first constituency to achieve the milestone. Public have to remain vigilant during the execution of the works, so that allotted amount for the area is utilized in optimum way. He appealed to the residents of the area to frequently visit the site of ongoing works and report any type of shortcoming well in time.
Vikram Randhawa in his address to the gathering said “we had been successful in getting the required funds for the developmental projects for the constituency and due to sincere efforts of Kavinder Gupta we are nearing to achieve the milestone for becoming the first Model Constituency of the State”. He said BJP is committed to the development of the State and overall up-liftment of the residents of the citizens.
