Gang of bike lifters busted, 6 two-wheelers recovered

UDHAMPUR, July 21: With the arrest of three accused, Udhampur Police has busted a gang of bike lifters and recovered five stolen motorcycles and a Scooty from their possession.
Police said that acting on the complaint, lodged by Bharat Kumar of Lambi Gali Udhampur that some unknown thieves had stolen his bike bearing registration number JK14C- 0746, a case FIR number 323/2020 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Udhampur.
During the course of investigation, police party, headed by SHO Udhampur Vijay Singh Choudhary, zeroed in some suspects and on their disclosure, intercepted the stolen bike from Kawa area of Udhampur town. On further disclosure of accused person, police party recovered five more vehicles (four bikes and one Scooty) which were also stolen by the gang of thieves from Udhampur town.
Three arrested accused were identified as Wasim Akram, son of Mohd Saleem of Nagrota, Jammu, Noor Mohd, son of Faqir Mohd of Nagrota, Jammu and Qayoom, son of Chirag Din of Barmeen, Tehsil Ramnagar, Udhampur.
