JAMMU, Jan 3: Meeting of State TB Control Society Jammu was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education, Gazanffer Hussain here today.
Director Health Services Jammu Dr. B.S. Pathania, Dr. Dinesh Kumar HoD. PSM Govt. Medical College Jammu, Project Director JKSDCS Dr. Mohan Singh, Dr. V.P. Sharma Dy. Director Health (Schemes) Jammu, Dr. Ajay K. Gupta State TB Officer Jammu, Dr. Manoj Chalotra Medical Superintendent CD Hospital Jammu, Chief Accounts Officer Darshan Loch, besides other officers/ officials of the Society attended the meeting.
Dr. Saleem-ul-Rehman, Director Health Services Kashmir and Zahoor Wani, Director Finance were the special invitees.
Chairman was apprised that Intermediate Reference Laboratory (IRL) Jammu has been certified by Central TB Division New Delhi. It will help in diagnosing the Drug Resistant TB cases.
Physical and financial achievements of the Society were discussed and creation of District TB Centres (DTCs) for new districts viz. Reasi, Samba, Ramban, Kishtwar was also discussed during the meeting. Society also gave its approval for enhancement of salary of contractual staff as per Central TB Division Guidelines/ Revised Financial Norms and basis of costing of RNTCP under 12th Five year plan with effect from April 2015.
Chairman stressed upon notification of all the TB patients. He also directed the DHS to fix the date for conducting of meeting of Principals of all the Medical Colleges, Directors and State TB Officers of both the Divisions of State and Controller Drugs & Food Organization.
