JAMMU, Sept 28: GCET Jammu defeated PG Department Jammu University by 2.5-1.5 points and lifted the title trophy of Inter-Collegiate Chess Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at its Indoor Hall here today.
Navdeep Singh of GCET beat Touseef Ahmed, Manmohan Kotwal of GCET defeats Ashish Ohri and Angad Singh of GCET lost to Vikas Choudhary of PG Department.
The match played between the Villas Kotwal of GCET and Shivam Sharma remained draw.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded medals and trophies to the players and teams in the presence of Balbir Singh Chib Physical Director GCET, Dr Noor Beg, SP Sharma, Sushil Sawhney, Sanjeev Kumar, Bagh Ali and PD Singh Incharge of the Tournament.
