JAMMU, May 20: GCET conducted a Technology Webinar on “Emerging World post Covid-19”, under the Chairmanship of Talat Parvez Rohella, Secretary to Govt., Higher Education Department.
The webinar covered the impact on Industry, Education & Technology enabling students to prepare for the new emerging world from placements and technology perspective post Covid-19 pandemic. This Technology Webinar was organised jointly with Industry Ecosystem Partner
Winnovation Education Services Pvt Ltd. and was conducted online on Google Meet Platform and You-Tube live.
Sarbarinder Singh, Director Winnovation Education Services Pvt. Ltd. while inaugurating the webinar spoke about the areas Winnovation Ltd. shall work during & post COVID -19 pandemic.
Renowned Industry Speaker, Coach and Mentor Dinesh Kumar and Director SOTI India Pvt. Ltd. was the Speaker on the subject. He guided the Webinar with great insights from Global Perspective, impact on world economies, hardest hit sectors which may not restart until 2021. He also emphasized the need for the leaders to think and act across the 5 horizons or 5R’s i.e Resolve, Resume, Return, Re-imagination and Reform during and post Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier, Ajay Abrol, Incharge TPO, GCET, Jammu in his welcome address spoke about the initiatives being taken by GCET Jammu for the placement of students and opportunities post Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Sameru Sharma, Principal GCET appreciated the efforts of T&P Cell, GCET for conducting Industry & Academia interaction by conducting a Technology Webinar.
Dr. Bhawna Sharma, Associate Professor and T&P Co-ordinator, GCET, Jammu guided the proceedings and proposed the vote of thanks.
She thanked all the members associated with T&P Cell especially Spareshdeep Singh, student coordinator for making this webinar a great success.
The webinar was attended by the students and faculty of GCET who turned up in such a great number and made the event a great success.
