JAMMU, June 19: Govt College of Education (GCoE), Jammu in collaboration with Art of Living (AoL) here today organized ‘Har Ghar Dhyan’ workshop under the patronage of Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta and under the supervision of NSS Program Officer, Dr. Shubhra Jamwal in which faculties, non-teaching staff and students participated.
In Har Ghar Dhyan meditation session Resource Persons were Ajay Kapoor, State Coordinator AoL-Bureau of Communications and Projects and Shakti Sagar, senior faculty and DTC, both from AoL J&K and Ladakh Chapter.
The programme started with lighting of ceremonial lamp by Principal, resource persons, senior faculty of GCoE present on the occasion and this was followed by welcome address by Principal GCOE.
Shakti Sagar very beautifully explained how the change in life style adopting meditation, pranayama and stress relieving kriyas help in boosting immunity and health, relieve stress, anxiety and depression and has ability to manage our mind, increasing stamina to work relentlessly for longer durations.
The students and faculty members felt very relaxed and positive after the meditation session and shared it.
NSS volunteers and faculty members Prof Shalini Rana, Prof. Sarita Dogra, Prof. Shapia Shameem, Prof. Neeraj Verma, Prof. Seema Kumari, Prof. Vinaylata, Prof. Anuradha, Dr. Anuradha Seth, Prof. Satish, Prof. Shambunath, Dr. Rajinder Kour, Prof. Radhika Mahajan, Prof. Sunita Saryara and non-teaching staff actively participated in the Yoga meditation interactive session.
