JAMMU, Mar 10: The Department of Social Studies of the Govt College of Education organized one day seminar on the topic ‘truth and non-violence’ today in the College premises. Overwhelming response of the students in participation on the said topic revealed the relevance of truth and non-violence even in the present era.
Komal Kotwal, Bhumica and Shivani stood first, second and third respectively in the seminar that was adjudged by Prof Sunita Gupta, Prof Neelam Dhar and Prof Tahera Shah.
The first two winners will represent the College in the district level competition being organized at GGM Science College in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family.
Prof (Dr) Ajeet Angral, Principal of the College was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking lauded the efforts of the students for good performance.
Earlier, welcome address was presented by Prof (Dr) Sindhu Kapoor, Head Department of Social Studies.
The programme was compeered by Tanzeen and Nirja, while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof Anju Bala, D ean student’s welfare.
