JAMMU, July 28: Placement & Counselling Cell of GCW Bhagwati Nagar here today organised a webinar under the guidance of Principal, Prof. Minnie Sharma in Collaboration with District Employment & Counselling Centre (DECC), Jammu and TATA Consultancy Services (under CSR Umbrella).
Topic for the webinar was ‘Youth employability Programme’ and the guest speaker was Sunil Bareily – Mobilization Coordination, Youth Employability Programme, Corporate Social Responsibility, TATA Consultancy Services.
Speaking on the occasion Principal of the College emphasized about the importance of skill acumen in job market and how the students need to upscale themselves for finding new opportunities.
The guest speaker Sunil Bareily elaborately deliberated upon the fact that how TATA Consultancy Services has demonstrated toward socio-economic development of the society und CSR Umbrella.
“The Company focuses on areas like education, skill development, health & wellness and environmental sustainability,” he claimed adding that the students would be given online training of about 100 hours (free of cost) which would equip them with skills for the job market.
He also said that the course will include training in soft skills, mental ability, life skills, value system etc
The programme was organised by Dr. Pavanjeet Bali, Coordinator Placement and Counselling Cell, GCW Bhagwati Nagar; Dushant Singh, CCO, DECC, Jammu and Shivali Chaudhary, Employment Officer DECC.
