JAMMU, Aug 26: To Mark Women’s Equality Day, Women Studies Centre of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar today organized an exhibition-cum-rally to educate the students about their social, political and financial rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College stressed that women should be independent in their thought process and should be liberated, along with all the responsibilities.
Giving an insight on rights of women, convenor, Women Studies Centre, Dr Anjali Bhat explained the students about the aspects which play a significant role in gender inequality.
Later, Principal of the College flagged off a rally with students holding placards displaying slogans on Women Equality for awareness of general public in Gandhi Nagar area.
