JAMMU, Oct 30: The Department of Physical Education and Sports at PSPS GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, organized the Inter-Collegiate Kho-Kho (Men and Women) Tournament 2024-25 for Cluster University from October 29 to 30, along with an Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (Women) Tournament on October 30. The valedictory function was honored by Dr. SP Saraswat, Principal of the college, as the chief guest, and Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education and Sports at Cluster University Jammu (CLUJ), as guest of honour. Additional faculty attendees included Prof. Yash Paul, Prof. Poonam Kesar, Prof. Harmeet Singh, Prof. Rohit Gupta, Prof. Vikas Bhagat, Prof. Abinav, and Prof. Balbir Neha, along with Prof. Ramandeep Karalia and Prof. Ravi Kumar, Physical Directors of GCOE and Commerce College, respectively.
GCW Gandhi Nagar emerged victorious in the Women’s Kho-Kho tournament, narrowly defeating GGM Science College in a gripping match that extended into extra innings. In the Men’s Kho-Kho category, GGM Science College claimed the title, defeating SPMR College of Commerce by four points. GCW Gandhi Nagar also triumphed in the Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (Women) Tournament, winning 2-0 against Govt. College of Education to secure the overall championship.
Officiating the Kho-Kho tournament were Sahil Dev Singh, Hunykeit Sharma, Sandeep Singh Jamwal, Madhur Chowdary and Yogesh Kumar. The Volleyball tournament was overseen by officials Mulkh Raj, Parvinder Singh and Anil Kumar.
