UDHAMPUR, Sept 27: The elections for General Body and Executive Body of students were held in Government College for Women (GCW), Udhampur, in the presence of Principal, Dr Youdhvir Singh.
Forty-seven class representatives were elected from BA/BSc/BCom Part-I, II and III. Students took part in the elections very enthusiastically.
Deepika Sharma was elected as president, Poonam Manhas as vice-president, Sheetal Kesar as general secretary and Himanshi Raina as treasurer.
Prof Ravinder Kour, Dean, Students Welfare, conducted the election with the help of Dr Bhavnaish Chand, convener, Discipline Committee and other senior staff members namely Prof Ashni Devi, Dr Arun Kumar Sharma and Dr Ashok Kumar.
