GCW Udhampur organizes Intra-College Symposium

Udhampur, Sept 3: On the occasion of Sadbhavana Diwas, an Intra-College Symposium was organized by the NSS units of Government College for Women, Udhampur in the College premises, here today.
The topic for the symposium was “Role of youth in National Integration in Present Scenario”. Dr Youdhvir Singh, worthy Principal, GCW Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp, against the backdrop of NSS song sung by volunteers.
The changed motive of NSS, not me, not you, but we was emphasized.
The NSS pledge was recited by the students before the symposium began.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof Tania Akhtar, NSS, Programme Officer.
The chief guest in his address brought out the dynamic power that youth of today exude and stressed upon the fact that we can only act like a torch but, it is the youth of today who will act as our ambassadors.
The learned jury included Dr Seema Rani Minhas, HoD, English Department, Dr Parveen Kumari, HoD Hindi and Prof Mool Raj, HoD Urdu.
The first, second and third prize was bagged by Sapna Sharma, Zeenat Amaan, Aditi Khajuria respectively.
Vote of thanks was presenreded by Prof Swarna Bhougal, NSS, Programme Officer.
