JAMMU, May 9: GD Goenka Public School held its Investiture Ceremony for the year 2013 in School premises, here today.
The Head Boy and Head Girl were selected by the students by following the democratic system of voting.
The programme began with invocation of Maa Gayatri followed by a prayer song by the students. A lamp signifying the spread of knowledge was lit by the Principal of the School, Jyoti Asija, who introduced the Head Boy, Shubam Jain and Head Girl, Asifa Shoket Kohli for the year 2013 and did the honours of badging them, which was followed by the swearing in ceremony of other office bearers of various Houses.
While speaking on the occasion, the School Principal Jyoti Asija urged upon the students to bring their best for the betterment of the School.
The fuction concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem.
