JAMMU, May 7: The Investiture Ceremony at G D Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust was held at the School Campus, here today.
It was attended by the staff and the students from class III to XII.
Shubham Jain and Saubhagya Charak were elected as the Head Boy and Head Girl of the School.
The elected Prefect Body for the Academic Year 2014-15 included Mrigank Baranwal, Deputy Head Boy; Anmol Rathore, Deputy Head Girl; Raunak Singh Bali, Sports Prefect; Simran Bhat and Shivam, Activity Prefects; Dipanshu and Yosuf, Teressa House Prefects; Agraney and Sahreen, Tagore House Prefects; Sushrat and Sakshi, Radhakrishnan House Prefects and Ruchika and Aqib, Vivekananda House Prefects.
Earlier, the ceremony commenced with the lightning of the traditional lamp by the Principal, Dr R P Singh; vice principal, Dr Subrata Kundu and all the Co-ordinators.
The Prefects also took Oath on the occasion.
While congratulating the newly elected office bearers, Principal, Dr R P Singh threw light on the leadership qualities.
The Investiture Ceremony ended with the National Anthem sung by the staff and the students.
