9th Matushri Inter-School Debate Competition held

JAMMU, Aug 26: Dogra Law College today organized 9th Matushri Inter-School Debate Competition 2022 on the topic “Online Learning is better than Offline Learning”.
Matushri Inter-School Debate Competition is an annual feature of Dogra Law College, which is dedicated to Matushri Lakho Devi Ji. She was called “Matushri” by the people of Bassi Kalan. She was the source of immense inspiration for the people of all beliefs and faiths.
In all, 14 participants from different schools of the Jammu and Samba districts participated in the contest.
Dr Darshana Sharma, Director Dogra Group of Colleges and Campus Development presented the welcome address.
Dr Parmeshwari Sharma, Prof Hindi University of Jammu (Retd), Dr Alka Sharma, Member of Counseling Cell, Directorate of School Education Jammu and Prof Lalitsen Sharma from Department of Computer Science, University of Jammu were the jury members.
Vridhi and Himanshi from GD Goenka Public School bagged the first prize, while the second prize was won by Achytam and Yuvi Sharma from KC International School and the third prize was claimed by Chahat and Jhanvi from Rich Harvest School.
Samar Dev Singh Charak presided over the function and distributed the prizes and mementoes to the participants.
Charak stressed upon the importance of organizing such type of Debate Competition so that the young minds are trained and given exposure by deliberating upon such topic which help in the overall personality of children and the development of Nation as well.
Gambhir Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Bela Charak, Principal Dogra Degree College, Shuchi Sharma, Principal Incharge Dogra Law College and the faculty members of Dogra Law College were also present on the occasion.
In the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust.
