JAMMU, Oct 13: GD Goenka Public School organised a three days historic event “North Zone Judo CBSE Cluster”.
Fifty teams representing their school from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and host State Jammu and Kashmir participated in this prestigious competition.
Goenkans won 17 medals out of which they clinched four Gold medals, three Silver medals and seven Bronze medals.
The Gold medal winners were Zaheer Abbas, Priyanshi Kapoor, Amrita Roshan and Vanshika Manhas. Ayush Pandita, Prachi Bhagat, Ayush Raina bagged Silver medals. The Bronze medals were won by Anisha Sopolia, Chavvi Koul, Isha Dhar, Ritish Thakur, Sanchit Razdhan, Malvika Kapoor, Janvi Sharma, Shivani Pawar , Vainkesh Sharma and Anshika Manhas.
Amrita Roshan was declared as best Judokas of the North Zone CBSE Cluster.
Principal of the School Dr RP Singh awarded the winners.
Coach Bhanu Pratap was also present on the occasion.
