JAMMU, Dec 17: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu celebrated Annual Day function ‘Aahvaan’ here today. Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest. Rahul Bansal, Chairman, School Management Committee, Sanya Bansal, Director, Suman Bansal, Member of the Management and Arindam Roy Choudhury, Principal illuminated the ceremonial lamp during the occasion. Susmita Roy Choudhury, Dean Academics and Coordinators Shakun Choudhary, Deepali Kaul, Nishita Sharma and Navpreet Kour were also present.
The celebration commenced with an awe-inspiring performance which was a fusion of Kathak and Western music by the school’s talented students, accompanied by a live orchestra, enthralling the audience with its uniqueness and captivating essence. Principal, Arindam Roy Choudhury presented the school’s annual report outlining the milestones and achievements of the school.
The highlight of the evening was the Cultural Program, ‘The Tales of the Virtuous,’ which showcased the vibrant tapestry of India’s noble virtues through mesmerizing dance performances and emotive theatrical expressions. Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, leaving the audience enlightened and motivated. The head boy Amulya Mahajan and head girl Minerva Digra delivered the vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all the guests, performers, teachers, staff, and attendees for making ‘Aahvaan’ an unforgettable and successful event, fostering the school’s spirit of virtuousness and excellence.
