JAMMU, Sept 24: To provide little help to the affected people in recent disaster caused by heavy rains and floods in J&K, the NSS volunteers of GDC Akhnoor held special Flood Relief Camp on NSS foundation Day at village Sitryala.
The NSS volunteers had collected the donation for the flood affected people. From the collected donation volunteers purchased the relief material and distributed it among the flood victims in presence of college Principal Prof (Dr) Asha Gupta and Sarpanch of the village, Pawan Sharma.
Principal of the College Prof (Dr) Asha Gupta and Sarpanch of the village Pawan Sharma appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers for rendering valuable service at this hour of need.
The programme was organized by NSS unit of the College under the supervision of Prof Surinder Singh Parihar, NSS Programme Officier.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. Chander Shakhar, Prof Tarsem Lal, Prof Susham, and Prof D N Sharma.
