ANANTNAG, June 13: Govt Degree College (Boys) Anantnag today organized “Annual Cycle Race – 2014”, of 18 kms from College Campus to Akad Park, in which more than 30 students participated.
The event was flagged off at 6 AM from the College Campus by Deputy Inspector General of Police (SKR) Vijay Kumar in presence of the Principal Dr. M.Y. Peerzada and members of various committees including the Sports.
Sajad Ahmad Wani, Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh and Sajad Mushtaq Wani bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively, besides two consolation prizes were given to Mudasir Nazir and Amir Shafi.
After the conclusion of the event a prize distribution ceremony was held at Akad Park, which was attended by the members of various departments of like Revenue, Health and Police, besides local public.
The College Principal appreciated District Administration for deputing various departments like Police, Revenue and Health for making the event a success.
