GDC Billawar excels at Basohli festival

KATHUA, Oct 14: Students of Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar excelled at the Inter-College competitions during the Basohli festival. This grand festival featured participants from GDC Billawar, GDC Mahanpur and GDC Basohli, competing in four categories: Essay Writing, Shloka Recitation, Storytelling and Painting.
Diksha Sharma from the 5th semester secured the first prize in Shloka Recitation, while her fellow student Hridhaydeep claimed the second position. In the Essay Writing competition, Monika Malgotra from the 3rd semester took home the first prize, with Zahid Malik from the 5th semester finishing third. Nisha Devi also excelled, earning third place in Storytelling and Diksha Thakur received the second prize in Painting.
The winners were honoured during the prize distribution ceremony on October 12. Faculty members Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Akshey Sharma and Dr Manu Sharma served as jury members, celebrating the students’ remarkable achievements.
