JAMMU, Sept 17: Government Degree College (GDC) Budhal organized symposium on the topic “Role of Teachers in Curbing Evils from the Society”.
10 students participated in the symposium.
Sumnash Kumar bagged 1st position in the symposium where as Zahid Farooq and Shazia Akhter secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Earlier, the function started with recitation of few verses of the Holy Quran by Liaquat Ali followed by Naat Sharief by Tehmina Kouser.
Dr Mohd Sajar Malik (HoD Persian) delivered welcome address and also threw light on the topic.
Prof Mohd Arif (HoD English), Prof Imtyaz Hussain Shah and Prof Amandeep Jangral acted as jury members for the symposium. Prof Mohd Yasir Bhat compiled the result.
Principal of the college Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina presided over the function.
Prof Priksha Raina conducted the proceedings of the programme, while Prof Mohd Aslam presented vote of thanks.
Mudassir Ahmed Dar and Prof Altaf Ahmed assisted the organizers.
