DHARMARI, May 27: Govt Degree College Dharmari (Reasi), released the maiden issue of the College Newsletter titled “Sounchal Gali” in a simple but impressive function organized in the College premises, today.
Dr TR Sharma, Principal of the College was chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Chander Mohan, Assistant Professor (English) was the guest of honour.
While releasing the Newsletter, Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Principal of the College, highlighted the various achievements of the staff and the students of the college since its inception.
The Newsletter took its title from historically famous commercial hub and formerly the lifeline of business centric activities of Dharmari, Mohore, Shajru and villages of other adjoining areas.
The programme was attended by the students, parents, besides the staff members including Dr Pervaiz Ahmed, Prof Zakir Hussain, Prof Khalid Sajad, Prof Parvana Bhat, Prof Mandeep Kour, Prof Ganesh Dutt, Prof Bindu Sharma, Jatinder Bakshi and Mohd Iqbal.
Prof Mandeep Kour, Lecturer in Education and Prof Parwana Bhat, Lecturer in Sociology conducted the proceedings of the programme.
The programme concluded with the signing of the National Anthem by the audience and formal vote of thanks by Dr Pervaiz Ahmed.
