KATHUA, Mar 6: A two-day long International Conference on Health, Fitness, Yoga and Sports Science culminated at Government Degree College, Kathua today.
The 1st International Conference on Health, Fitness, Yoga and Sports Science organized by IQAC & Department of Physical Education & Sports in collaboration with the Foundation for Global Community Health, USA through hybrid mode was concluded where more than 250 Indian and foreign delegates and eminent speakers around the globe attended the conference offline as well as on a virtual platform.
The second day of the International Conference commenced with an interactive session with faculty members by eminent Global personality and keynote speaker Dr. Ming Kai Chin, President and Founder of the Foundation for Global Community Health, USA. He emphasized physical activity sports and social-emotional health as important components of health and wellness.
The interactive session was followed by an invited lecture session in which Dr Olena Yarmoliuk, HOD, Physical Education and Pedagogy, KYIV University Ukraine focused on the importance of Artificial intelligence in physical education and the role of physical and sports science on overall well-being. Later, Dr. Zornitza Mladenova, Senior Future Leader, GCH, USA highlighted a holistic approach to physical activity, emotional stability and nutrition for the attainment of overall well-being.
Afterwards, two parallel technical sessions of Paper Presentation and Poster Presentation were held in which 13 delegates presented their research and deliberated on various aspects of Health, Fitness, Yoga & Sports Science, whereas, 24 delegates displayed their research findings through posters.
The sessions were chaired by Dr Pragya Khanna, GLDC, Hiranagar, and Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, GDC, Mahanpur, whereas. Co-chaired by Prof. Raj Kiran, HOD Physics, GDC, Billawar.
Dr Pinar Yaprak, Assistant Professor, Gazi University Turkey presented her research work on sports fields, social issues and development. Dr Gourav Vaid, Senior Physiotherapist and founder of Swasthya Shastra, Jammu focused on the role of physiotherapy in our day-to-day lives, health and fitness.
Later, a valedictory session was organised to formally conclude the International Conference in which Shiv D.S. Jamwal, SSP, Kathua was the Chief Guest.
