MAGAM, June 19: Government Degree College, Magam organized different events including Annual Road Race and Environment Week.
Road Race was organized from Kunzer to Magam in which 58 students participated and was flagged off by the Principal, Government Degree College, Magam.
In the event, Shahid Mushtaq, Akhter Hurrah and Maqbool Hussain of BA 2nd year bagged Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Similarly another event was held from Mazhoom Railway Station to Magam Degree College in which 30 girl students participated. The students namely Arjumand, Nargis and Rayesa secured Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
The College also organized Environment Week in which Banner Installation, Painting competition was held. Insia Zehra 2nd year, Ayeena 2nd year and Masrat Zehra 2nd year bagged Ist three positions respectively.
Besides, a daylong Seminar on the topic ”Environment Degradation and Our Approach Towards Sustainable Development” was organized in which 12 students participated and students including Rameeza, Nargil Khatoon and Ashiq Hussain bagged first three positions respectively.
The Principal of the College, Prof. Zahir-ud-Din on the occasion highlighted the importance of conservation of environment.
