JAMMU, Nov 22: Inter-Collegiate Archery Championship for men and women, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at the Sports Stadium of the varsity concluded today.
GDC Mishriwala lifted the title trophy by securing 69 points, while GDC Hiranagar secured runner-up position by securing 39 points.
In 30 meter distance (boys), Abbas Ali Khan of GDC, Mishriwala, Mohammad Hussain of MAM College and Mohammed Hussain of GDC Mishriwala bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively, whereas in girls category, Pallvi Thakur of GDC Udhampur, Ashna Mahajan of GDC Udhampur and Ashima Bakshi of GDC Udhampur secured Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In Compound Division 50 meter, Smille Thappa of GDC Reasi and Amit Thakur of GDC Reasi clinched Gold medals, while Anup Verma of GDC Reasi clinched Silver medal.
On the occasion, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest, who awarded the winning trophy to the overall Championship winning team GDC Mishriwala in presence of Vikram Singh, Kuldeep Rajwat, Vikas Karlopia and Ravish Vaid.
The Championship was conducted under the supervision of Jai Bharat.
