JAMMU, Oct 11: Government Degree College (GDC) Poonch and Government College for Women (GCW) Parade were declared joint winners in the Inter-Collegiate Women Hockey Tournament, which concluded at Jammu University Hockey Field, here today.
Earlier, after both the teams failed to score any goal in the stipulated time, the organizers in consent with the managers of both the teams declared the finalist teams as joint winners.
Lida Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, who was introduced with the players and officials of both the teams before the commencement of the final match.
The chief guest later-on distributed prizes among the joint winners in presence of Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu and Prof Keshav Sharma.
The tournament was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ramesh Sharma, PTI Campus, Suman Lata (PTI), Prof Jasbir Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Veena Chib, Gurmeet Kour, Dalbir Mehta, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Jai Bharat, Nisha Sharma, Jasbir Singh, Neenu Narayani, Sanjeev Jamwal and PD Singh.
