Poonch, Oct 15: Degree College Poonch defeated PP Tigers in the inaugural match of 2nd T-20 cricket tournament which is being organized by Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club in which 20 teams have confirmed their participation.
The tournament is being organized by Shaheed DySP Manjeet Singh Club. Earlier, the Championship was declared open by SSP Poonch Shamsher Hussain in presence of Chairman of Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club, Mohd Tariq Khan.
The first match was played between PP Tigers and Degree College Poonch.
Degree College won the toss and elected to bat. Batting first, Degree College scored 118 runs in 20 overs. Ami Singh scored 48 runs. For PP Tigers Bindu tok two wickets.
Chasing the victory target of 119 runs, PP Tigers bundled out for 111 runs, thus lost the match by 7 runs. Himalaya remained top scored for PP Tiger with 29 runs. For Degree College, Vikas and Jasvinder took 2 wicket each.
