RAJOURI, Nov 21: Government Degree College Rajouri organized a mathematical quiz that was sponsored by the State Council for Science and Technology, here.
In the quiz competition, a total of five teams participated from three institutions namely Himalayan Degree College Rajouri, GDC Thanamandi and Govt Degree College Rajouri.
The programme was presided over by Dr J A Qazi, Principal of the College, who in his address highlighted the significance of mathematics in day to day life.
Dr MK Waqar, Vice Principal and HoD Urdu also spoke on the occasion.
Shikha Khajuria and Khushal Gupta of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri bagged 1st prize, the 2nd prize was bagged by Shayesta Lone and Meenakshi Sharma of Govt PG College Rajouri while the 3rd prize was bagged by Akshay and Pramod of the same College.
Prof Ghulam Abass, Head, Department of Persian was the adjudicator on the occasion.
Others present on the occasion were Prof Abdul Karim, Prof Riaz Ahmed and all staff members.
The programme was conducted by Prof Asif and Ajaz Lone, Staff Secretary of the College, while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof (Dr) Abdul Raouf, Head, Department of Mathematics.
