JAMMU, Oct 10: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar and YCET Paloura were among the eight winners in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Table Tennis Championship, being organised by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu, here.
The Championship is being organised under the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Earlier, GCET beat GDC Hiranagar by (3-0), GMC Jammu drubbed GGM Science College by (3-0), MBS College trounced ASCOMS by (3-1), YCET Paloura outplayed GDC Billawar by (3-0), GDC Udhampur beat TDC by (3-0), PG Department outclassed GDC Bhaderwah by (3-0), GDC Ramnagar prevailed over MIET by (3-2) and SPMR College of Commerce got the better of IDS by (3-2).
The matches were officiated by Rekha Ratra, Sanjeev Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Ankit Sharma, Gourav Raina and Jeevan Lal, under the supervision of Ravish Vaid (TT Coach), University of Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Vinay Manhas, Vikram Jamwal, Mukesh Kumar, Anil Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Jai Bharat and Dr Rohit.
