JAMMU, July 8: An International Conference on Monitoring Biodiversity for Action (ICMBA-2024) was organised by Department of Zoology, University of Kashmir under the College on Wheels Program (a special initiative by Higher Education) 2023 in which Gursimar Kour, student of the college gave an oral presentation on her work on Ethno medicine under the guidance of Dr Ruchika Sharma, Assistant Professor and Head, Deptt. of Biotechnology, GDC (Boys), Kathua.
Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the College applauded the student and the mentor on getting recognition in an international conference and emphasized that this achievement can draw attention to the research orientation of students.
Other faculty members present on the occasion were Dr Neena Gupta, Dr Savtanter Kour, Prof. Jugal Kishore, Prof. Sankait Gupta and Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch.
