GDC Samba organises symposium

SAMBA, Jan 19: NSS unit of Govt Degree College (GDC) Samba organised a symposium on Ill effects of fireworks during NSS camp here today.
Earlier, Dr Romesh Chander, Principal of the College presented welcome address, wherein he stressed on the importance of organizing such programmes to ensure development of students.  NSS programme Officer, Dr Rawan Kumar in his message said that fireworks should be avoided as it raises pollution level which can cause numerous health problems.
About 12 volunteers participated in symposia. The event was adjudged by Prof. Sandhya Rani,  Prof. Anupma and Prof. Kamaljeet.  Digvijay Singh (B.Sc Part 3rd) stood first in competition whereas Awva Sharma (B.A part 3rd)  and Manisha  Kumari (B.A. Sem-IV) stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
