GDC Samba organizes Extempore on Global Peace and Education

JAMMU, May 15: Tagore Peace Club of Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College Samba in collaboration with Department of Education organized an Extempore centered around the timeless teachings of Rabindranath Tagore on “Global Peace and Education”.
The event aimed to foster dialogue and reflection on the vital role education plays in promoting peace and understanding on global scale.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof (Dr) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the College stated that Rabindranath Tagore, a Nobel laureate and one of the greatest intellectuals of the 20th century, advocated for universal brotherhood.
She stressed that such events provide a platform for students to articulate their thoughts and contribute to build a more peaceful world. The Extempore brought together students from various disciplines to engage in thoughtful discourse and discussion.
During the event students showcased their oratory skills and deep understanding of Tagore’s teachings. The participants eloquently articulated their perspectives on fostering peace, promoting cultural understanding and building bridges across diverse communities.
All participants were lauded for their thoughtful engagement and commitment to promote tranquility and harmony.
