POONCH, Apr 24: Government Degree College (GDC) Surankote unveiled the first edition of College Magazine “The Beacon” here today.
The magazine’s launch was spearheaded by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rani Mughal, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s literary and creative endeavours. The other guests present on the occasion were Prof. G. L. Sharma Principal (Retd.), Prof. Shabir Hussain Shah, Principal (Retd.), Prof. Abdul Raouf Principal (Retd.) and Dr Bashir Ahmed HoD Physics SCS GDC Mendhar, Dr. Syed Wajahat Hussain HoD English SKC GDC Poonch and Dr. Ashiq Malik HOD Botany GDC Thannamandi. Additionally, the distinguished faculty members of GDC Surankote were also present, adding to the significance of the occasion.
The statement said the launch of “The Beacon” not only showcases the academic and creative prowess of the college but also provides a platform for students and faculty to express their thoughts, ideas and talents. This maiden edition reflects the diverse perspectives and scholarly achievements within the college community, promising to be a beacon of inspiration and knowledge for years to come.
