JAMMU, Apr 16: The NSS Units and Women Development Cell of Govt. Degree College Udhampur in collaboration with Department of Advertisement and Visual Publicity, Govt. of India), organized competition in connection with missions “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and “Beti Padao, Beti Bachao”, here today.
In symposium, the participants deliberated in detail on the issues of Beti Padao, Beti Bachao” and Shavina Akhter, Shivi Badayal and Meenakshi Rajput-Akhter Hussain Azad were adjudged 1st , 2nd & 3rd respectively. The consolations prizes were also given to the participants.
In singing competition, the students presented meledions and sufi songs depicting above issues which enthused the large gathering of students. Suraj Dogra, Amit Kumar and Balbir Singh were adjudged 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively.
Prof GR Verma, Prof Veer Singh, Prof. Yogesh, Prof Anita and Prof Gurpreet Kour were the adjudicators.
On this occasion Principal of the College Prof. S.S Bhalwal also addressed the students over the issues and asked them to aware the Common masses about the above missions.
Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.
