GDS lifts U-19 Cricket Tourney title

JAMMU, July 4: Galaxy Divine Samrats (GDS) defeated Lawrence Sidhra Lions (LSL) and lifted the trophy of Under-19 Cricket Tournament, played at Helipad Ground Nagrota.
Batting first, GDS scored 177 runs in 16 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Akash was the top scorer with 60 runs off 32 balls including three balls over the fence, while Rohit Bandral made 31 runs, Mohit Singh scored 24 runs and Adil chipped in 19 runs.
In the second inning, LSL failed to chase the target and bundled out at 149 runs for all out. Vaibhav made 27 runs in 11 balls, while Amit scored 26 runs and Kunal chipped in 17 runs in 6 balls.
From GDS side, Lucky and Mohit scalped 2 wickets each.
Akash of GDS was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Varun Padha and Ashok Kumar as umpires, while Sandeep Kumar acted as scorer.
On the valedictory function, Shinda, President of New Young Blood Organisation awarded the winner and runner-up teams in presence of Co-owner, Dogra Construction, PC Dogra, Anj Sharma from GS Traders and Managing Director Divine Touch Welfare Society Sudhir Padha.
