KISHTWAR, Oct 21: German-Switzerland Mountaineering Expedition – 2022 successfully culminated on J&K Himalayas in the region, here which was under the supervision of Liaison Officer, Major Raj Kumar of Unit Records the Mahar Regiment, Saugor (MP) from September 12 to October 17.
Expedition was a great success because the team climbed the peak Chomochior (Alt 6270M) in Haftal Glacier near Bhujas from the South-West ridge.
There was no security breach by the foreign expedition team and neither none had fallen sick during the expedition in the mountains nor any accident took place enroute in the glacier, as debriefed by the Liaison Officer on return from the expedition.
German-Switzerland nationals said that the region of Kishtwar in J&K was full of natural beauty and had a wide scope of adventure tourism and thanked the District Administration especially Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav for the support and facilities provided to the team during the entire expedition. They all wished to visit again in future to experience more adventure tourism in India.
The team today arrived safely at Delhi and thereafter the debriefing ceremony they flew back to their respective countries, said the Liaison Officer.
