JAMMU, Mar 26: GGM Science College’s Literary Club organized a series of exciting events to mark 75 years of the Adoption of the Indian Constitution. Under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta and Convener Dr. Jatinder Kour, the college hosted a Role-Playing activity and an Intra-College Quiz Competition.
The Role-Playing activity included a Mook Parliament where students enacted the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill, giving them a practical understanding of the legislative process. The quiz competition tested participants on the Indian Constitution and polity, with 10 teams competing. The first position was won by Harshdev Singh and Pankaj Dogra, the second by Ayush Parihar and Parul Sharma, and the third by Mohd. Ayoub Jan and Amanpreet Singh.
Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta lauded the Literary Club’s efforts to engage students in democratic processes. The event was coordinated by Prof. Yasmeen Mughal, Dr. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Bal Kishan, Prof. Sumit Dubey, and Prof. Vipin Kumar, with the presence of Dr. Vandana Khajuria (HOD English), Dr. Seema Rani Minhas, Dr. Seema Gandotra, Dr. Ashaq Hussain, and other distinguished faculty members. A special felicitation ceremony recognized top achievers, including Sumeet Kumar, Manmeet Kour, Zaigham Salaria, Nitesh Choudhary, Maithely, Ayoub Jan, Ishit Kour and Chakshu Sharma.
