JAMMU, Aug 27: NCC cadets of GGM Science College brought laurels to the institution as well as the State by catapulting J&K NCC Directorate at 3rd position among 17 other Directorates of the country in the Inter-Directorate Shooting competition held at Asansol in West Bengal.
The College NCC cadets participated in the event under the guidance of Principal Dr Satinder Singh and supervision of NCC Officers Capt Karan Singh Bhau, Prof in Physics and Lt Neeru Dhalla, Prof in Zoology.
Cdt Arun Sharma clinched gold in Prone Position and a silver in all three positions- Standing, Prone and Kneeling.
The other cadets of the team who qualified for GV Mavlankar Shooting competition are Cdt Aman Singh, Cdt Vishal Choudhary, Cdt Gobind Singh, Cdt Sunil Sharma and JUO Sutopa Dass.
