JAMMU, Oct 22: A mathematical Quiz competition was organized by the Department of Mathematic, GGM Science College, here today.
The participants of the quiz were chosen from among the BSc Part-III students of the College.
A total of six teams participated in the Competition with three students in each team.
The proceedings of the Competition were conducted by Dr Sunil Gupta.
Dr Sunil advised the students to take mathematics seriously and sincerely and not be shy of it.
The main objective of this competition was to explore inquest knowledge about mathematics among the students and encourage them to prepare for the forthcoming competitions such as JUET, CDS, and Banking etc.
The program was inaugurated by Dr Satinder Singh, Principal of GGM Science College, who lauded the sincere initiative taken by Department of Mathematics in this direction.
The Result was declared by Prof DK Raina, Head of the Department of Mathematics.
Team (D) which comprised of Varun Sharma, Vishal Choudhary and Manav Sharma was judged as winners of the Competition.
Dr JL Sharma and Dr Narinder Sharma of Department of Mathematics were the Jury members for this program.
Prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners on the occasion.
The other faculty members present in the programme were Dr RS Pathania, Dr Shally Gupta, Prof Kanchan Kohli, Prof N K Dhar and Prof Ankit Sharma.
