JAMMU, Sept 23: To commemorate International Peace Day, the Department of English of GGM Science College, Jammu organized a seminar on ‘Education for Peace’, here today.
The programme was inaugurated by College Principal, Dr Satinder Singh in presence of the HoD English, faculty members and the students.
15 students from various departments expressed their views and emphasized the need to spread education for bringing peace in the society.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal also exhorted the students to not only get degrees but pursue for right education and develop tolerance and patience.
The speakers who won the prizes were Aditi Khajuria, Akriti Jamwal and Rinku Rathore.
Prof Seema Gandotra and Prof Shally Gupta were the adjudicators of the event.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by HoD English, Prof Ruth Karim.
