JAMMU, Dec 27: GGM Science College clinched the Handball (Men) Inter College trophy by defeating Government SPMR College of Commerce here today. The tournament was organized by Cluster University of Jammu in GGM Science College.
Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu was the Chief Guest and Dr Ranvijay Singh, Dean Student Welfare; Cluster University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour during the occasion.
The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education and Sports, Cluster University of Jammu and Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu.
In the 1st match played between Government MAM College and GGM Science College in which GGM Science College won by 19-06 Points while in the second and the final match was played between Government SPMR College of Commerce and GGM Science College in which GGM Science College won by 15-11 points. Abhay Singh of GGM Science College and Jatin Manhas of Government SPMR College of Commerce scored 10 and 6 goals respectively in the tournament. Abhay was the highest scorer of the tournament.
Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce, Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar, Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director Govt. MAM College, Ramandeep Kralia Physical Director, GCOE Jammu were among the various dignitaries present during the occasion. The match was officiated by Ritik Pandita and Aryan Baru.
