JAMMU, June 17: Wrestler Abdul Ghani of Maler Kotla, Punjab defeated Sunny of Hoshiarpur and lifted 111th Bamyal Kesari title.
The dangal was organized by Bamyal Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
On the occasion, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) State general secretary, Rakesh Wazir was the chief guest who gave away the cash prize of Rs 25,000 to the winner and Rs 16,000 to the runner up wrestler in presence of Shiv Kumar Sharma, President, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Sarpanch Ram Singh, Manzoor Hussain, Kartar Chand, Bashir Ahmed, Dr Joginder Kumar, Sher Singh, Farooq Mohammad, Mohammad Fareed, Ram Paul Sharma and members of Dangal Committee.
The second main bout was won by Farooq of Sarore by defeating Palla of Himachal Pardesh and got cash prize of 9000. The third bout was won by Amir Khan of Nargara by defeating Deepa of Hoshiarpur. The fourth bout was won by Bobri of Sarore by defeating Raj Kumar of Delhi. The fifth bout was won by Roshan Lal of J&K Police by defeating Akram of Bajrangi Akhara. A total of 45 bouts were played in today’s wrestling event.
President Dangal Committee Ram Singh and Manzoor Hussain presented vote of thanks.
