UDHAMPUR, Aug 31: The Government Girls High School Chenani was adjudged as best in Two-day District Level Science Exhibition contest organized by DIET, in the premises of Govt HSS Boys Udhampur on Saturday.
Second prize was bagged by Government Higher Secondary School Krimachi , while as third prizes went in favour of Government Higher Secondary School Garhi and Higher Secondary School Girls, Udhampur respectively.
Government High School, Padharka, Middle School Jakhanoo, Middle School Shakti Nagar, and Middle School Nakki clinched consolation prizes in the contest.
Joint Director, School Education, Jammu, Mr. S.K Gandotra, was the chief guest at the valedictory function , while Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, Balbir Singh was the guest of honour.
The Joint Director School congratulated the Principal and faculty of DIET, for conducting a successful Science Exhibition aimed at to induce scientific temperament among students. He also stressed upon the teaching community to encourage all the students to participate in such type of functions as these events could help to inculcate scientific values which are the need of the hour. Besides he impressed upon them to give moral education among the students for developing a healthy society.
Principal DIET, Vijay Luxami presented welcome address and also aware about the achievements of DIET. While HoD, Sunil Sharma conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Among others, , Ex-Joint Director, Sardar Paramjeet, faculty of DIET, Principals, Lecturers, retired academicians and student from various schools were present on the occasion.
