GHS Paloura claims U-19 boys volleyball title

JAMMU, Aug 22: Scripting a (2-1) win over the formidable side of Government High School Muthi in the summit clash, Government High School Paloura lifted the title trophy in the Under-19 boys volleyball tournament of Jammu zone, here today.
In other volleyball matches, HS Muthi trounced KC Public School by (2-1) sets, HS Paloura drubbed SRML by (2-0) and HS Muthi outclassed KC International by (2-1).
In Under-19 boys kabaddi, HS Muthi claimed the title by defeating SRML by 18 points in the final. Earlier, in the semifinals, HS Muthi prevailed over HSS Dansal by 15 points, while SRML got better of HS Paloura by 10 points.
HS Nowabad claimed the Under-19 boys kho-kho title by outplaying HS Paloura in the final, while in semifinals, HS Nowabad beat HS Muthi by 4 points and HS Paloura drubbed HS Jajjar Kotli by 7 points.
In wrestling Under-19 boys, Radhay Sharma of SRML claimed below 40 kg gold, Mohd Javed of HSS Dansal won below 45 kg gold, Vishal Raj of HS Muthi won below 55 kg gold, Raman Saini of SRML clinched gold in below 60 kg, Shamsher Khan of SRML won 66 kg gold, Bahadur Khan of Tiny Tots claimed gold in below 74 kg, Mohd Akram of Tiny Tots bagged gold in below 84 kg category and Ishak Ahmed of Tiny Tots clinched gold in below 96 kg and Sadiq Hussain of HS Sujwan got gold in 96+ kg weight category.
