GHSS Dori Dager celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 2: Government Higher Secondary School, Dori Dager celebrated Annual Day with enthusiasm and zeal.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand was the chief guest, while Joint Director, State Institute of Education, SDM Akhnoor, CEO and other officers as well as staff and students were also present.
Cultural items and march past was presented by the students, which was appreciated by the audience with thundering applauses.
Calling upon teaching fraternity to devotedly attend to duties, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said that teachers play a very special role in society and everybody looks up to them with admiration.
“Our tradition culture and scriptures have also given special respect to teachers due the fact that they lead students from darkness to the light of knowledge and now it is duty of every teacher to come up to the expectation by serving with devotion and dedication”, he urged.
Describing education as priority sector, Deputy Chief Minister today said that focused attention is being paid to upgrade infrastructure in the sector and to equip education institutes with most modern facilities, adding that the Government is aware of the fact that the department has dearth of staff and efforts at the highest level have been initiated to fill up the posts on priority.
