GHSS Rajpura outplays GHSS Samba in U-19 girls cricket

SAMBA, Sept 7: Defeating Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Rajpura by a narrow margin of 8 runs in the summit clash, GHSS Rajpura lifted the title trophy of the District Level Inter-School Under-19 girls cricket tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Arazi Stadium, here.
Five teams drawn from prominent schools of the District participated in the event to vie for the top honours.  The tournament was held under the directions of Director General Sports, Jehangir Mir and under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
The matches were officiated by Anirudh Singh Slathia, Kulbir Singh, Sandeep Singh, Khem Raj, Subash Kumar Sharma, Prem Nath Sharma, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Sushma Sambyal, Asha Rani, Meenakshi Sambyal and Shashi Sambyal.
